Ingredients
1 cup jamun pulp (fresh or frozen)
1-inch ginger, peeled and grated
1/2 cup honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
6 cups water
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 sprig mint leaves (optional)
Directions
- Prepare the jamun pulp:
Wash and pit the fresh jamuns you are using. Mix the pulp with a little water until it becomes smooth paste.
Thaw the jamun pulp completely while it is on frozen. - Make the ginger-lemon syrup:
Mix the gated ginger, honey/sugar, and 1 cup of water and cook it in a saucepan.
Simmer for 5 minutes.
Take out from the heat and cool slightly.
Filter the syrup from the pepper to remove the ginger pieces. - Assemble the lemonade:
Put the jamun pulp in a large jug and add the ginger- lemon syrup, the remaining 5 cups of water, and the lemon juice.
Stir well to combine.
Adjust the sweetness and tartness to your taste.
