Ingredients
500g boneless chicken, bite-sized pieces
2 tablespoons oil
3-4 green chillies, slit (adjust according to spice preference)
10 cloves of ginger-garlic
1 cup fresh coriander leaves
1/2 cup mint leaves
1 cup yogurt
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 teaspoon red chilli powder (adjust to taste)
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander sprigs for garnish
Directions
- Step 1: Grinding the paste
Put ginger, garlic, 3 no. of green chili, fresh coriander leaves and mint leaves in the blender. Blend until it becomes a smooth dough - Step 1: Marinating the Chicken
Combine chicken with grinded paste, yogurt, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, red chili powder and salt in a bowl. Mix them all up. Combine all ingredients until the chicken is fully coated.
Put it in the fridge and let it stay for at least half an hour or even better, let it stay all night. This lets the tastes mix together. - Step 2: Sautéing the Marinated Chicken
Put oil in a pan and cook it at medium heat.
Cook the chicken in the mix for 5-7 minutes until it turns light brown on all sides.
Add more water if the pan looks like it needs it. Cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes until it is ready and soft. - Step 3: Adjusting Flavors and Garnishing
Taste and adjust seasonings. Add some freshness using new coriander leaves.
Tips:
- If you want more heat, add extra chopped green chili peppers or a little bit of cayenne pepper.
- If you want less strong taste, use fewer green peppers or take out their seeds before mixing.
- Serve Green Chicken with rice or roti to enjoy its strong taste.
