  • 500g fish (Hilsa, Rohu, Katla, Bhetki, or prawns)

  • 4 tbsp mustard oil

  • 1 tbsp black mustard seeds

  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds

  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

  • 1 green chili, finely chopped (optional)

  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 2 tomatoes, finely chopped

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder

  • 1/4 tsp coriander powder

  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder

  • 1/2 cup yogurt

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 cup water (optional)

  • Coriander leaves, for garnish

  • For Marination:

    Cut the fish into bite-sized pieces and clean them thoroughly.

    2. In a bowl, mix turmeric powder, salt, and 1 tablespoon of yogurt.
