Ingredients

  • 250 grams paneer, cut into cubes

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • 2-3 cloves

  • 2-3 dried red chilies

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped

  • 2 medium tomatoes, finely chopped

  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder

  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala

  • 1 cup frozen peas

Directions

  • Get Ready:
    Ensure that your paneer cubes have been drained of any water initially. Simply pat them using a paper towel. 
    Easy, right? Now, you’re ready to start.
  • Spice Things Up:
    Use hot oil in large frying pan on medium heat. Throw in cumin, cinnamon, cloves, and dry red chili. Yum, let them sizzle a bit!
  • Aromatic Mix:
    Add chopped onions. Cook until they’re see-through. Then, add tomatoes. Soften and juice-them up.
  • Magic Spices:
    Time for the fun part! 
    Mix ginger powder, turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Combine, stir well, and leave to boil for about one minute.

  • Saucy Goodness:
    Add approximately that amount of water. Leave it to simmer for about five minutes and then let it get somewhat thick. This is the nice paneer sauce.
  • Peas Please:
    Toss in the frozen peas. Cook them on medium heat for approximately 2 minutes, until they become just tender enough and are colorful.
  • Paneer Time:
    Add some paneer cubes and mix them gently. Treat them gently; don’t crack them. Soaked in more flavor, cook for a few more minutes.
